ENKON ENVIRONMENTAL

Over the past 17 years, ENKON has been working with Metro Vancouver and its member municipalities to undertake receiving environment monitoring at wastewater and stormwater discharge points, and ambient (background) monitoring in waterbodies that receive these discharges.  These programs include in-situ water quality, sediment and biota (fish) sampling in areas of the Fraser River and Burrard Inlet outside the direct influence of any discharge, and water quality monitoring in the initial dilution zones of the Annacis, Iona and Lions Gate Wastewater Treatment Plants.  ENKON has also undertaken several receiving environment studies of combined sewer overflows, which have included sediment and benthic invertebrate sampling and sediment toxicity testing.
