PROJECTS

Some of the Milestones We Have Achieved

Since its' inception, ENKON has been providing specialized environmental and project management expertise to our clients for a wide variety of projects throughout BC.  Many of these projects have involved complex federal, provincial and municipal processes that included public and First Nations consultation, lead project management roles of multi-disciplinary teams, and detailed environmental inventories and impact assessments in remote parts of BC.  Some examples of ENKON's milestone achievements that we played a key role include:

  • 1996: 1st electronic deliverable of orthophoto, geo-referenced mapping data base of the entire stormwater system within the Metro Vancouver member municipalities, and a fish habitat mapping system for CP Rail's mainline track from the Alberta border to downtown Vancouver

  • 2000:  Burns Bog Ecosystem Review as part of the joint provincial/private developer assessment of the potential residential development options of a portion of Burns Bog

  • 2003: Concept and Final Master Plan provincial approval to allow Revelstoke Mountain Resort to expand to ~17,000 bed units and develop multiple high speed lifts (25), >100 new ski runs, residential accommodation and commercial real estate

  • 2005: Project Certificate for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games including nordic, biathlon and ski jump venues in Callaghan Valley, near Whistler

  • 2016: Environmental Assessment Certificate for the proposed Garibaldi @ Squamish All Season Resort allowing the potential development of ~21,000 bed units and develop multiple high speed lifts (25), >100 ski runs, residential accommodation, commercial real estate and golf course

  • 2016: Environmental Assessment Amendment for the Bevan Avenue groundwater wells to allow the City of Abbotsford to use the existing seasonal wells indefinitely

  • 2016: Final Master Plan, provincial approval to allow Valemount Glacier Destinations Ltd. to develop 2,000 bed units and other on-mountain ski and recreational facilities

As we go into the future, we will continue to strive to exceed our clients expectations and ensure that we achieve a balance between protecting the environment and economic development.
