Surrey BC 2012-2014
Large woody debris and boulders installed in stream near culvert for fish habitat and erosion control

R.F Binnie on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure contracted ENKON to provide environmental services related to the detailed design and construction of a freeway interchange that involved relocating a fish-bearing watercourse.  ENKON conducted watercourse assessments of Carlson Creek and Fergus Creek and impacts on fish habitat.  We liaised with Fisheries and Oceans Canada and worked with the project engineers to provide an acceptable conceptual design for the relocation of Carlson Creek.  We participated in ERC meetings, which confirmed acceptability of the design concept.  ENKON conducted environmental monitoring during construction to ensure that the relocated watercourse met all environmental requirements.
