ENKON Environmental Limited was retained by Valemount Glacier Destinations Ltd to provide an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the proposed Valemount Resort development.  Initially, the EIA was submitted in August 2015 in support of the Master Plan submission to the Mountain Resorts Branch of the Ministry of Forests, Land and Natural Resource Operations (FNLRO) to initiate the formal review of the project.  Based on comments received from FLNRO in early 2016, the EIA was revised (April 2016) to address concerns regarding vegetation, wildlife and fisheries resources impacts and mitigation strategies to end the formal environmental review of the project.  Mitigation strategies were developed to take into account the potential need of minor design changes.  Valemount Resort received its' Master Plan Approval from the provincial government in 2016.
