VEGETATION

ENKON has been conducting detailed vegetation surveys for rare and endangered plants and plant communities, sensitive ecosystems, invasive plants, and hazardous tree assessments throughout the Lower Mainland and BC for more than 20 years.  Recently, ENKON's terrestrial biologists identified an extremely rare flowering plant species, the "Phantom Orchid" in a development site in Abbotsford.  Over the past 5  years, ENKON has also been working with the City of Surrey monitoring restoration sites and providing detailed prescriptions to enhance previously disturbed areas,  ENKON also conducted "Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping" of a 10,000 ha resort development site near Valemount, which was used to identify sensitive habitat for a variety of wildlife species of concern.
